Before BYU

Prepped at Viewmont High where he lettered twice in football and baseball and was all-region in both sports ... was first-team all-state and a 5A all-star in baseball ... coached by Rodger Farnsworth ... recruited by New Mexico, Mesa State, and Southern Utah.


Played 13 games in the outfield last season.
