2001 | Freshman Year

Had 20 appearances for a 3.41 ERA and a 3-0 record ... had the third-lowest opposing batting average for the Cougars at .286 ... struck out 23 on the season while only walking four ... recorded his first win in an 11-10 come-from-behind victory over Southern Utah ... recorded his second win in relief at Utah with five strike outs in four innnings pitched ... got a win in relief at home against San Diego State with four strike outs in 3.1 innings pitched ... voted first team Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball ...
