Parents are William and Cheryl...served a mission to San Bernardino, California (87-89)...sister Nancy was a sprinter on BYU's track team...recruited by Syracuse, Maine and Boston University...majoring in business.

Before BYU

Graduated with honors from Wilton High in 1986...won three letters in football and two each in track and wrestling...placed fifth in state wrestling honors include honorable mention All-American, all-state and the Bridgeport News Defensive Player of the Year...coached by Tom Fugitani (Bridgeport).

1986 | Freshman Year

Played mostly on the junior varsity.

1990 | Sophomore Year

Had five tackles at UTEP...three tackles against San Diego State...five tackles against Colorado State...four unassisted and two assisted tackles against Texas A&M in the Holiday Bowl.

1991 | Junior Year

Was Academic All-WAC...had two kickoff returns, one against Wyoming and the other against San Diego State...was second unit behind Rocky Biegel at inside linebacker...had an interception against New Mexico.
