Abandoned his redshirt season prematurely because of the departure of Eric Krzmarzick ... saw some playing time with the varsity against San Diego State ... completed an 11-yard pass in the Holiday Bowl against Ohio State.

1984 | Junior Year

Backed up Robbie Bosco ... completed BYU's first pass of the season against Pittsb8urgh on a halfback pass to Glen Kozlowski for 38 yards ... threw another halfback pass against San Diego State ... completed 12 of 19 passes for 138 yards and a TD vs. Colorado State ... replaced an injured Bosco in the Holiday Bowl vs. Michigan and completed five of seven passes for 28 yards ... also rushed for seven yards.

1985 | Senior Year

Was six of seven for 71 yards and a 27-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter at Colorado State ... was five for 12 for 47 yards and a five-yard TD pass in the third quarter vs. Wyoming ... was 12 of 20 for 170 yards at Utah State, playing the entire second half for Bosco who took a hit with four minutes left in the first half ... also had a 15-yard run in that USU game where he led BYU to 20 of its 44 points in the shutout.
