Parents are Wendell and LaVon...married Michelle Linford in July '81...served an LDS mission to Atlanta, Georgia for two years...comes from a family of athletes, four brothers all played football...is majoring in business finance.

Before BYU

As a wingback and linebacker, was all-state two years...was all-state in basketball...won the KUTV Playmaker Award...coached by Dan Mower...was team captain and honor student...his team was region champs and state champs in basketball...was also high school athlete of the year.

1976 | Freshman Year

Excellent jayvee player.

1977 | Redshirt Year

Recuperated from knee injury during redshirt year.

1978 | Sophomore Year

Saw some varsity playing time at the beginning of the season.

1981 | Junior Year

Following his mission he returned to log time with the varsity...best outing of the year was at UTEP when he had four tackles, a pass deflection and a sack to earn coaches player of the game honors for the second time during the season.
