Before BYU

Made all-league, all-area and all-district teams as a senior at Los Banos MVP in '82...named to the Lion's all-star a junior, was team most valuable lineman and made all-league...lettered three times in football and once in track and basketball...coached by Don Toscano.

Played with the jayvee.

1984 | Redshirt Year


1985 | Sophomore Year

Backed up Keith McCullough at center.

1986 | Junior Year

Started at center first two games but left New Mexico game early with severe headaches...missed next nine games as suspected brain tumor was finally diagnosed as a cyst...came back to start Air Force and Freedom Bowl games.
