Born in Provo...parents are Tom and Winona...father is BYU's Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach...older brother, John, was a linebacker for BYU from 1977-81...served an LDS Church mission to Santiago, an Eagle Scout...was married Aug. 1, 2000 to Lindsey Joy Coil...recruited by Air Force and Arizona St.,...majoring in electrical engineering/computer science.

Before BYU

Lettered three times in football and twice in baseball at Orem High...played offensive guard, defensive tackle, first base and catcher...was all-state and a captain in football was also academic placed second in state as a senior...coached by Paul Clark (BYU).

Other College

Played guard and was second-team all-conference at Snow where the team finished sixth in the nation in 1997.

1997 | Freshman Year

Participated in spring drills before transferring to Snow College.

1998 | Sophomore Year
