Before BYU

Lettered three times in football, four times in track and once in basketball at Kofa High...was team's most valuable lineman...second-team all-region defensive line...coached by Don Klostreich (North Dakota St.).

Other College

At Ricks College he was JC Gridwire All-American, all-region and all-conference...played for the Vikings before and after his mission...was two-time All-American in track...was two-time region shot put champion and conference discus champion.
