High School - Outstanding ball player  at Clark High School in Las Vegas ... was all-conference and all-state for two consecutive years, and Clark was state champions both seasons ... head coach was Richard Whitehead.

1973 | Freshman Year

Second only to Mike Russell as a defensive back with 143 points ... made 40 unassisted tackles.

1974 | Sophomore Year

Cougars won the WAC and participated in the Fiesta Bowl ... Dana was second only to Gary Shaw ... had five pass interceptions.

1975 | Junior Year

Led all defensive backs in statistics ... had three more pass interceptions ... overall has had 85 unassisted tackles ... eight pass interceptions, and 420 defensive points ... voted all-WAC first team at the end of 1975 campaign.
