Parents are DaVon and Gloria...dad played at Ricks College...served a church mission in Tennessee from 1989-91...recruited by USC, Tennessee, Cincinnati and Boston College...nickname is "ozone"...majoring in recreation management.

Before BYU

Earned seven letters at Viewmont High in Bountiful...all-state as a soccer player two years...was the 4-A MVP in soccer his senior year...was an all-state football selection...coached by Dan Yanowsky (Toledo).

1992 | Freshman Year

Honorable Mention All-Conference...WAC special teams player of the week against UCLA...top BYU player in scoring with 81 points...scored a field goal in nine games...kicked three field goals against Notre Dame and scored four PATs vs. Utah State...longest field goal was 46 yards at Wyoming...coaches' special teams player of the game vs. UTEP, Fresno State and San Diego State...missed only one extra point attempt in the season...averaged 67.8 yards in 70 kickoffs, 47 of which were beyond the goal line...has a current string of 21 consecutive PATs.
