Recruited by Nevada-Las Vegas, Utah State, Weber State and New Mexico State...has substituted in his father Jerry's junior high history class...sometimes wears a boxing glove to protect his snapping hand when he plays guard...a communications.

Before BYU

High School - A three-year starter on defense at Weber won 4A state championship in 1985...played defensive end and tight end for Coach Ron Buckwoldt...also was a deep snapper on kicks.

Junior College - Played offensive guard two years at Dixie College (St. George, Utah)...Rebels were 11-1 both seasons, ranking third in the nation both years...played on winning Rotary Bowl team two years.

1988 | Junior Year

Did all the deep snapping.

1989 | Senior Year

Earned backup status on offensive line in spring practice and could see action, depending on development of junior college players.
