Before BYU

An all-area performer ... earned honorable-mention all-state honors as a senior ... played both safety and fullback in high school ... helped lead Allen HS to the state playoffs as a junior and senior, including a 9-3 record in his final season ... blocked a point-after attempt to help the Eagles to a 21-20 win over defending state champion Garland ... credited with three interceptions on the season, including a 70-yard return for a touchdown ... a two-year letterwinner for the Eagles ... also ran track for Allen HS.

Redshirted after returning from a Church mission in July, 2003.

2004 | Freshman Year

Earned letterman honors as a redshirt freshman ... saw action in all 11 games during the season ... credited with 19 tackles on the season, including 10 solo takedowns ... recorded a season-high four tackles against San Diego State ... recorded his first career interception against Wyoming ... participated in spring drills.

2005 | Sophomore Year

Earned letterman honors as a sophomore ... saw action in all 12 games during the season ... started 10 games ... made 55 tackles on the season, including 35 solo takedowns ... recorded a career-high 11 tackles against Boston College ... had seven solo takedowns against the Eagles ... registered eight tackles, including six solos, against New Mexico ... had two pass breakups on the season ... had one sack against UNLV ... had two sacks for a loss of 12 yards on the season ... credited with one interception against Eastern Illinois for 12 yards ... participated in spring drills ... credited with two tackles in the annual Blue-White game.
