At BYU

In 2001: Played in all 14 games for the Cougars as a junior... recorded 25 tackles on the season, including 14 solo takedowns... credited with six takedowns for a total loss of 22 yards, including three sacks for 11 yards... received coaches awards for his performances against Nevada and Colorado State... recorded a season-high five tackles in the Cougars' 56-34 win over Colorado State... credited with one fumble recovery on the season (at San Diego State).

In 2000: Participated in spring drills... switched from tight end to defensive end... gained significant experience on special teams throughout the season... saw action at defensive end... recorded one unassisted tackle.
