Born in Provo...parents are Richard and Sheila...he is the second of five children...father and uncle played football at BYU...served an LDS Church mission to Puerto Rico (Spanish speaking)...is an Eagle Scout...plays the trombone, baritone, piano, and sings...one of two in Utah picked to attend the Congressional Youth Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.,...received Presidential Youth Fitness Award...member of National Honor Society...loves working with youth, the outdoors, water skiing...recruited by Hawai`i and Utah...majoring in construction management.

Before BYU

Lettered twice in football and track at Provo High...played offensive and defensive tackle...was all-region...threw the shot put and discus...coached by Duane Johnson (BYU) and Jess Christen (BYU).


2000: Participated in spring drills...played in four games, starting three on the offensive line for the Cougars...Mountain West Conference All-Academic Team.
