Parents are Lona and Ruby...brother, Vai, played at BYU, was all-pro with the Cardinals and is now with the Philadelphia Eagles...served a mission to Tonga (1986-87) recruited by Arizona and Arizona State...majoring in finance.
Before BYU
Graduated from Mesa High in 1985...earned three letters in football and one in track...all-league...coached by Ben Aridondo.

Suited up for varsity.
1990 | Sophomore Year
Played with junior varsity.
1991 | Junior Year
Got a lot of playing time because of injuries to others in the spring...had four punt returns in varsity games...had one punt return and a pair of kickoff returns at Colorado State...was second unit behind Patrick Mitchell the last three games of the season.
