Parents are Verl T. and Susan...served an LDS mission in Barcelona, Spain...married Michele Augustus in May, 1984...they have a daughter...recruited by Weber State and Utah State...majoring in psychology with hopes of obtaining an MBA.
Before BYU
A four-sport letterman at Skyline High...named to all-state and all-star football teams...named all-region in basketball...placed in the 100-yard dash at the state track meet...coached by Ken Schmidt (Utah), who now coaches BYU's linebackers.
Other College
Attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah...named all-conference in football and played on the conference championship basketball team.
1983 | Sophomore Year
Was the second-leading receiving on the jayvee squad with 25 catches and five touchdowns...led the jayvees in scoring with 30 points.
1984 | Redshirt Year
Redshirted.
1985 | Junior Year
Played in several games with the varsity and caught three passes for 53 yards.
