High School - Prepped at Heritage High, where he was an all-state wide receiver...was all-conference and all-city...lettered in football, basketball and track...ran the hurdles...coached by Bernie McCall (Colorado).

Walked-on as a tight end and played with junior varsity.

1985 | Sophomore Year

Was a reserve tight end.

1986 | Junior Year

Was a reserve tight end.

1988 | Senior Year

Returned as a walk-on offensive lineman...was playing with the first unit when he broke an ankle midway through spring drills.
