Parents are Patrick and Janet...recruited by Wisconsin, South Carolina, Missouri and Northern Illinois University...majoring in media arts with a minor in business.

Before BYU

High School - A four-time letterman in football and a double letter winner in track at Loyola Academy...played tailback and receiver...named to Catholic All-America and Chicago Tribune all-area teams...given Loyola Coaches' Award as most valuable player...participated in sprint and jumping events in high school...coached by Jamie Harrington (Carroll College).

1984 | Freshman Year

Played with the junior varsity.

1985 | Redshirt Year


1986 | Sophomore Year

Played on the second unit...had four carries for 15 yards...returned kickoffs and punts...had a 51-yard punt return vs. Colorado State and a 55-yard kickoff return against Temple...named special teams player of the week vs. Colorado State and Utah.

1987 | Junior Year

Honorable mention All-WAC...rushed for 309 yards and caught 18 passes for 147 yards...averaged 6.6 yards on punt returns and 22 yards on kickoff returns...second in scoring with seven touchdowns rushing...suffered serious knee injury in Australia and missed All American Bowl.
