Before BYU

Prepped at Merced High where he lettered once in football and track...a member of the record-setting 4 X 100 relay...coached by Mark Speckman (Azusa Pacific).

Other College

Had two interceptions for Ricks College in 1997 when he was second-team Western States Football defeated Tyler JC in the Real Dairy Bowl.

Was a contributor in the defensive backfield, seeing action as a backup at right corner...accounted for a season-high four solo tackles at Wyoming.
