Parents are Tom and Darlene...highly recruited for baseball...recruited by Utah and Washington State...majoring in civil engineering.

Before BYU

Lettered twice in football, three times in baseball and once in track...all-state in football his senior year...hit .417 in baseball and placed in the 100 and 200-meter dashes in the state track meet as a junior...rushed for 1,285 yards on 181 carries and scored 13 touchdowns his senior year at Bonneville High, where he was coached by Ralph Hunter.

1987 | Freshman Year

Played with the junior varsity.

1988 | Redshirt Year


1989 | Sophomore Year

Performed well in spring practice until suffering a freak collarbone break...was a reserve on the varsity.

1990 | Junior Year

Had a 23-yard kickoff return at Oregon...caught a two-yard TD pass at Oregon...caught a six-yard TD against Colorado State...rushed for 53 yards and scored the final touchdown at Air Force...had a 39-yard catch at Utah...had a 10-yard TD catch against Utah State...had a 59-yard kickoff return at Hawai'i as one of his four returns in that game.
