Born in Walnut Creek, Calif. ... parents are Glenn and Nancy White ... one of seven children ... parents and two siblings have all graduated from BYU ... served a Church mission to Montevideo, Uruguay (2000-2002) ... recruited by Army, Dixie State College and Snow College.

Before BYU

A three-year letterwinner in football at Orem HS ... also lettered in basketball (three years) ... first team all-region selection as a senior ... earned honorable mention all-state honors in his final season for the Tigers ... helped team to back-to-back playoff appearances as a sophomore and junior ... as a senior, recorded two interceptions and eight receptions for 170 yards, including an 80-yard reception (vs. Alta) ... also had a blocked punt against the Hawks.

1999 | Redshirt Year

Redshirted as a true freshman.

2002 | Freshman Year

Saw action in both junior varsity games as a redshirt freshman ... a contributing member of the scout team.

2003 | Sophomore Year

Lettered as a sophomore ... saw action on special teams in 11 of the Cougars' 12 games ... played in the Cougars' JV game against Georgia Military ... recorded eight tackles against Georgia Military ... named Prep Defensive player of the week against CSU.

2004 | Junior Year

Earned Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors ... earned letterman honors .... started at the left katback position in 10 of the Cougars' 11 games ... credited with 50 tackles on the season, including 28 solo takedowns ... posted a season-high eight tackles against both UNLV and New Mexico, inclduing a season-best five solo takedowns against the Lobos ... credited with a 46-yard interception return in the Cougars' 24-13 win over Wyoming ... credited with two sacks during the season, including an eight-yard sack against top-ranked USC ... participated in spring drills ... started at safety in the annual Blue-White game ... recorded a team-leading seven tackles ... credited with an interception in the spring game.
