Parents are Carl and Marcia...uncle, Tom, played football at Indiana and went on to the Lions and Colts...recruited by Indiana, Michigan and Nebraska...majoring in pre-athletic training.

Before BYU

Lettered in football and baseball at Rogers High...all-area, all-conference and all-state as a junior and senior...Class 5A All-State MVP in senior year...coached by Ron Lemon (Iowa).

1990 | Redshirt Year


1991 | Freshman Year

Caught three passes for 60 yards, including a 43-yarder, against Iowa...caught two passes for 28 yards against SDSU.

1992 | Sophomore Year

Caught first touchdown pass just 35 miles from hometown at Notre Dame Stadium...catch preserved BYU's string of 44 games scoring on a pass (NCAA record)...NBC/Chevrolet BYU Player of the Game against the Fighting Irish...made a drive saving catch at Hawai'i...averaged 19.8 yards per catch.

1993 | Junior Year

Had one catch for eight yards against Ohio State...had a great 52-yard TD catch at New Mexico...had a 35-yard TD catch at the close of the Fresno State game...also had TD catches at USU and SDSU...had nine kickoff returns for 242 yards, including a 50-yarder against UTEP and a 40-yarder against Utah...was holder for PATs and FGs...has caught a pass in last nine games.
