Parents are Lio and Lole...majoring in recreation management.

Before BYU

Attended Carson High School...was on the Dean's list as a junior...won letters in football and track...was first team all-city, All-Marine League and All-Bay...was all-centennial...played in South Bay all-star game...coached by Gene Vollnogle (Pepperdine)...his team captured the Marine League title all three years Wayne played.

Suffered a knee injury.

1980 | Sophomore Year

Played on jayvee.

1981 | Junior Year

Was an alternating starter with Vince Stroth...lost starting time when he sprained his ankle in the Utah State game...was coaches player of the game at Colorado.
