Before BYU

* Lettered in golf all four years and in basketball one year at Davis High School.
* Won three high school state golf team championships, one individual state championship, as well as playing on the basketball State Championship team.
* Won four golf region titles and one basketball region title.
* Two-time Utah State Amateur champion from 2000-2001.
* Made it to the Third Round of matchplay in the 2000 U.S. Junior Amateur at Pumpkin Ridge.
* Shot 67 to win the 2001 Valley View Amateur.
* Named the 2001 Utah Player of the Year.
* Finished third in the 2001 Western Junior.
* Finished second in the 2001 IIAJC.
