Before BYU

Transferred from Diablo Valley College ... took first in the league at DVC in the 100 fly ... placed third at state in the 100 fly in high school ... high school state champions in 2003 ... played rugby for BYU in 2002 ... four-year letterwinner at Las Lomas High School in swimming ... member of the 200 free relay team that placed first in the North Coast Section receiving All-America honors ... lettered two years in water polo ... graduated high school with honors.

2006-2007 | Sophomore Year

Competed in every meet except the dual meet versus Wyoming ... recorded two season-best times during the Speedo Cup in the 50 free (21.84) and 100 fly (52.53) ... swam his fastest time in the 200 fly against TCU with a time of 2:04.27 ... placed sixth in the dual meet against Air Force as he swam his season-best time of 48.43 in the 100 free.

2007-2008 | Junior Year

Placed in 12th and 15th in the 100 fly and 100 free, respectively, at the MWC Championships ... his time of 50.45 in the 100 fly at the MWCC was his best time of the season ... also recorded a personal-best time in the 100 free at the MWCC with a time of 46.47 ... swam his best time of the season in the 50 free (21.13) against UNLV, which was the fifth best time of any Cougar on the year ... had a third-place finish in the dual meet against Utah in the 50 free (21.41).

2008-2009 | Senior Year

Competed in five dual meets on the season for the Cougars ... finished eighth in the 100 fly at the Mountain West Conference Championships with a preliminary time of 49.33 and a final time of 49.63 ... ranked second in the 100 fly for the Cougars on the season.
