Before BYU

  • Four-year letterwinner at Cottonwood High School
  • Academic All-American
  • Utah's 2005-06 4A Swimmer of the Year

2006-2007 | Freshman Year

  • Placed sixth in the 500 free (4:28.98) and the 200 free (1:39.55) at Mountain West Conference Championships
  • Earned All-MWC honors for his performance in the 500 free, 1650 free and 800 free relay

2009-2010 | Sophomore Year

  • Competed in nine dual meets for the Cougars
  • Tied teammate Christian Keil for the second-fastest time in the 200 free on the season (1:40.15), achieved at the Mountain West Conference Championships
  • Received the MWC Academic All-Conference award

2010-2011 | Junior Year

  • Competed in all seven dual meets for the Cougars
  • At the MWCC, he placed first in the 800 free relay, ninth in the 500 free, 16th in the 1650 free
  • Received All-Conference recognition for his performance in the 800 free (6:32.64)
  • Ranked 11th in the conference for the 500 free, 19th in the 1650 free and 31st in the 200 free
  • Ranked third on the team in the 500 free and fifth for the 1000 an 1650 free
