Born in St. Anthony, Idaho...parents are Clint and Wilma Parkinson...served in the Mexico Monterrey North Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ...majoring in history.


1999: Placed 3rd in the high jump and 4th in the long jump at UTEP Invitational...took 4th in both the high jump and the long jump and threw 145-01.75 in the javelin at the BYU Cougar Invitational...took third in the long jump with a leap of 21-04.00 and 5th in the high jump at 6-07.50 at the BYU Tri-meet.

2000: Placed 3rd in the high jump with a jump of 6-05.00...recorded a 4th-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 6-06.75 at the UTEP Invitational...finished 4th in the high jump and 6th in the long jump at the BYU Tri-Meet...recorded a 3rd-place finish in the triple jump and a 4th-place finish in the javelin at the Utah Collegiate Championships...placed 3rd in the decathlon with 6418 points, and also placed 3rd in the high jump.

2001: Fifth in high jump at MWC Indoor Championships with a leap of 6-04.75/1.95m...Scored 3434 points to take fifth in the pentathlon at MWC Indoor Championships...finished third in decathlon with 6591 points at MWC Outdoor Championships.

Before BYU

Won the Utah state championship in the long jump and the high jump in 1996 while competing for Pleasant Grove HS in Pleasant Grove, Utah...was a Wendy's High School Heisman finalist...academic athlete.
