Parents are Kenneth and Janet...married to Emily Ann Collins of Pleasant Grove, Utah...majoring in computer science.

Before BYU

High school Sportsman of the Year in 1995...African junior champion in 1995 at Banjul, Gambia, and again in 1996 at Abidjan, Ivory Coast...coached by Mr. Bentum at St. Augustine's College.


NCAA All-American in 1999 outdoor 4x100 relay...Competed in 200 at World Championship in Seville, Spain in 1999...Long jump champion in the 1998 and 1999 WAC indoor meet...NCAA qualifier in the 55m, 100m, 200m, and long jump in 1998...Won four events in a 1998 meet; long jump, triple jump, 100 meters, and 200 meters...Best Marks: 200m - 20:47, 100m - 10:20, Long Jump - 25' 7".
