2009 | Sophomore Year

Indoor:

• Took second in the mile at the MWC Championships with a time of 4:21.52
• Finished 10th in the mile (4:05.14) at the UW Invitational
• Competed in the mile with a time of 4:12.41 at the BYU Cougar Invitational

Outdoor:

• Finished in third place in the 1500 meters with a 3:57.75 at the MWC Championships
• Took third at the Sun Angel Track Classic in the 1500 meters (3:46.35)
• Won the 1500 meters at the Baldy Castillo Invite with a time of 3:48.28

2011 | Junior Year

Indoor:

• Won the NCAA National Championship in the mile with a time of 3:59.49
• Ran the anchor leg on the NCAA National Championship distance medley relay team (9:29.28)
• Named the National Men's Track Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
• Named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Scholar Athlete of the Year in Division I
• Named the USA Track & Field Athlete of the Week after Indoor Nationals
• Won the MWC Championship in the mile with atime of  4:15.23
• Broke the then BYU record in the mile at the UW Husky Classic with a time of 3:55.79

Outdoor:

• The 2011 COSIDA Academic All-America of the Year for all sports
• Won the MWC title in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:56.62
• Won the 800 meters at the BYU Twilight meet with a time of 1:49.22
• Set the school record for the 1500 meters at Mt. SAC with a 3:36.25
• Named to the Bowerman Award Watchlist

2012 | Senior Year

• Broke the NCAA Indoor mile record by almost half a second at the Millrose Games with a time of 3:54.54
• Earned All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor National Championships by finishing third in the mile (4:01.86) and the distance medley relay (9:36.07)
• Named the Mountain Region Track Athlete of the Year
• An MPSF Indoor Champion in the 800m (1:49.17) and the distance medley relay (BYU record 9:29.00)
• Named an MPSF Scholar-Athlete
