Before BYU

four-time state champion in cross country at Wayne High School in...state champion four times in the 3200m and the 1600m and three times in the 800m...first place at the Utah All-Star Meet...cross country Athlete of the Year all four years...first in the 3200m at the Simplot times are 2:20 (800m); 5:16 (1600m); 10:41 (3200m)...qualified for regionals in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships.

1999 | Freshman Year

named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year after placing eighth at the conference championships...also named to the academic All-MWC team...fifth finisher for BYU and 15th overall at the BYU Triple Crown...fourth team finisher and 23rd overall at the Pre-National meet...placed 58th at the NCAA Championships, finishing in 17:42.

2000 | Sophomore Year
