Parents are Paul and Edna...has four sisters, including twin sister and teammate Jamie. Sister Nicole currently plays for Florida, while Shanen played at Arizona State.
Before BYU
Graduated with honors from Huntington Beach High School...lettered in softball all four years and cross country two years...was team captain in 1998...senior season batted a team-best .360 and did not make an error in center field...named to second team all-league sophomore and junior seasons and first-team all-league senior season.
