Career Summary

Coco Tauali'i Bond held down the defense from third base for her career. She is tied for 10th on the all-time reached base streak record at BYU with 23. She also had a part in one of the two triple plays in BYU history. Bond received conference academic honors in each of her four seasons as a Cougar. In 2015, she was named to the All-West Coast Conference Second Team. She finished her career with a .242 batting average, 118 hits, 93 RBI and 22 home runs. Bond helped lead BYU to a conference championship and NCAA Regionals in all four years of her career.

  • Her oldest sister, Amanda, played for the University of Hawaii softball team and played in the 2010 college world series

  • Her sports hero is Chone Figgins, who plays for the Seattle Mariners

2013 | Freshman Year

  • PCSC Second Team All-Conference

  • Had two hits, including a double, against Marist along with a career-high three RBI in her first game at Gail Miller Field
  • Went 2 for 3 in both Saturday games against LMU
  • Hit the first home run of her career against LMU and had a career-high five RBI in the game
  • Had three hits, including a home run, two runs scored and four RBi in game two against CSU Bakersfield
  • Hit a career-high four hits in game one against SUU and also brought in four RBI in the double header
  • Had a season-high eight-game hitting streak from Apr. 26-May 4
  • Scored one run and had one walk against No. 3 Oregon in the Regional opener
  • Appeared in 48 games and had 47 starts on the season

2014 | Sophomore Year

  • All-WCC Academic Team selection
  • Had four home runs in the first six games
  • Hit two home runs against Seattle in the Easton Desert Classic
  • Started BYU’s second ever triple play against No. 25 Notre Dame.
  • Robbed a home run against No. 2 Tennessee to keep the game tied at three.

2015 | Junior Year

  • All-WCC Second Team
  • All-Academic WCC selection
  • No. 1 in the WCC with six home runs, 15 runs batted in and a .763 slugging percentage in conference play
  • Led the team with 11 home runs, ranked fourth in RBIs with 35 and was third in slugging with .556 during the season
  • Tied for 5th-most home runs by a junior at BYU
  • Knocked in nine runs and hit four home runs in the series against Pacific
  • Against UCSB collected four RBI on first-career grand slam
  • Started 51 of 51 games played

2016 | Senior Year
