Honor roll student at Pendleton HS...three-time all-conference selection...team captain in 1997...received Offensive Player of the Year award...all-star selection senior year...also lettered in basketball and was an all-conference honorable mention.

All-Conference...started in center field in all 43 games for the Cougars, batting .283 with a team-high 39 hits in 138 at-bats...had two doubles, two triples and six RBI, while scoring 18 runs...had a team-high 20 stolen bases...committed no errors, while having a perfect fielding percentage...Cougar Club Scholar/Athlete award.
2001 | Senior Year
All-conference selection...Academic All-Conference...Cougar Club Scholar/Athlete award...hit .315 with 52 hits, including three doubles, two triples, one homerun and 15 RBI while also scoring 34 runs...led the team with 20 stolen bases in 22 attempts.
