Fictionist & BYU Fans Featured in BYUtv Football Video

BYUtv Sports and Provo-based national recording artist Fictionist are teaming together to produce a new performance-based opening sequence for Countdown to Kickoff.  The band has recorded an original song for the one-hour Pregame Show that airs nationally on BYUtv prior to each BYU football game.

Fans of both Fictionist and BYU Football (over the age of 12) are invited to participate in a special taping of the opening sequence at LaVell Edwards Stadium on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 2. BYUtv will be recording the opening sequence in the North Bleachers beginning at 6 p.m.

Fictionist will be positioned in the bleachers for the performance-based taping along with thousands of fans, the BYU Cheerleaders, and Cosmo.  The band will perform a short, live warmup set prior to the TV taping scheduled from 6 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m.

The goal is to pack the North bleachers at LES Tuesday evening. If you live in or near the Provo area, you're invited to come to the stadium and participate in this exciting opportunity to be on national TV each week throughout the football season. No admission will be charged and fans are encouraged to wear blue or white to show your BYU spirit.

Fictionist is an alternative rock band from Provo, Utah, with origins in Salt Lake City, Utah and Sacramento, California.  The band consists of Stuart Maxfield (lead vocals, bass guitar), Robbie Connolly (guitar), Brandon Kitterman (guitar, bass guitar), Jacob Jones (keys), and Aaron Anderson (drums).  They have toured nationally and have opened for acts including Imagine Dragons, Vampire Weekend, Young the Giant, Robert Francis, and Shiny Toy Guns.  The band is set to release a new album in October and will launch an upcoming tour with Neon Trees.
