Football players spend their Saturday giving back

PROVO, Utah -- BYU football players took advantage of their unexpected bye week on Saturday, Oct. 27, to give back to the local community.

As a result of the recent wildfires in California, the football game scheduled against San Diego State was postponed to Dec. 1. That meant a free Saturday for the Cougar athletes. But instead of spending the day lounging around, the extra time was spent giving service.

Service included attending Red Ribbon Week at a local elementary school and helping at the Utah Valley Food Bank.
