In the KSL 5 TV studios, BYU head coach Dave Rose began his weekly coach's show with a recap of last week's action, starting West Coast Conference play with back-to-back wins. Rose gave a full recap of both games.

The Cougars defeated LMU 92-51 behind 21 points from Matt Carlino and USF 80-76 behind 22 points from Carlino and Tyler Haws.

"There's a lot of ways to win games and last week we found two very different ways to win. This is a big step forward for our team because we didn't get the big points out of our usual scorers - it's really growing our team and has been great for us."

Rose highlighted the performance of Carlino in the first two WCC games, leading the team with a combined 43 points, and talked about newcomer Bronson Kaufusi and how Brock Zylstra has stepped up in the last couple games.

BYU's rebounding scheme was talked about by Rose and how the team is using better rebounding to defeat their opponents.

And to finish the show, Rose talked about how the rest of the WCC teams are shaping up and previewed the upcoming week for BYU with WCC games against Pepperdine and Santa Clara.
