What is one thing few people know about you?
I like the outdoors, nature. I like to go fishing. I like to watch Discovery Channel. Reading and stuff like that.
Why did you come to BYU?
It’s a great place to be. It holds us to a high standard and I stood up to the challenge. I like taking challenges. Also, Mendenhall is a really great coach and I think I can learn a lot from him.
What is your favorite professional team?
The Houston Texans. That’s my home city.
When/why did you start playing football?
I started playing when I was four years old. I was actually a year too young, but I was tall enough so they let me play. Football was the first sport my mother put me in when I was little. From then, I just stuck with it. It fit me perfectly.
Who do you look up to and why?
I look up to my dad. I always looked up to him when I was younger. He’s a great father figure and has done a lot of things to help me out.
Do you have any pregame rituals? When/why did you start doing them?
I pray first then I do back pedals on the field. I listen to music and just think about making good plays. I just put it on Pandora and let it play.
What’s something outside of football you’re looking forward to?
I like to watch TV, I like to watch movies. I really like Netflix and ESPN. I like to play with friends. I like to go socialize, play with my puppy when I can.
What was the first college/professional game you attended?
It was actually baseball with my grandpa. It was the Astros versus the Angels.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Probably Brazil. I always thought it would be cool to go there.
What is your favorite football memory? (from college, high school, etc)
I picked up the game winning fumble against Wisconsin to seal the game. I gave the ball to my offense and won the game.
