LaVell Edwards Stadium video display coming along

Aug 10, 2012 - Posted by at 7:47 am | Updated: August 10, 2012 7:51 am | Permalink

Fans attending the BYU fall football scrimmage Thursday got a sneak peak of the new video display system at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

The state-of-the-art ANC Sports Enterprises video display system includes 16mm surface mount LED video screens, each measuring 35 feet high by 50 feet wide. In addition, approximately 210 feet of LED ribbon flank both sides of each scoreboard, running across the top of the north and south end zones.

ANC is spearheading the engineering, manufacturing and installation of the LED display system. Driven by the VisionSOFT™ operating system, the new display system will be capable of synchronizing together as one theme or segmenting into different elements to provide fans with various information and entertainment content.

The video system will be in place for the 2012 season kickoff versus Washington State on Aug. 30 at 8:15 p.m.

BYU recently set up a couple of webcams in LaVell Edwards Stadium to help in monitoring the installation progress of the new high-definition video wall displays. We thought Cougar Nation might be interested in a sneak peek. Here are the links…

A special thanks to ANC Sports Enterprises for its technical expertise and to Nu Skin Enterprises for it generous sponsorship of the new LED screens.

The host site has a limited viewer capacity, so if the feed doesn't load, please check back later. Also, please don't leave the page open for long periods of time, as this jams the system and prevents others from viewing.

For more information on the new displays, read the official release.
