United Way Day of Caring

On Thursday, Sept. 12, the BYU athletic department joined the rest of the BYU campus in the Utah County United Way Day of Caring by supporting numerous service projects throughout the community. University employees were given four hours off work to support the United Way’s efforts to strengthen the local community.
 
This year, BYU Athletic employees participated in a variety of activities around the community including the kick-off breakfast at LaVell Edwards Stadium, work at the Community Action Food Bank of Provo and general outdoor work such as painting and yard work.
 
In all, BYU student-athletes and athletic department employees contributed approximately 400 of hours of work.

Fan Stadium Party!

Cougar fans enjoyed a fun evening on Wednesday at LaVell Edwards Stadium. The BYU Athletic Department hosted the Fan Stadium Party on Wednesday just days before the football team's first home game of the season on Saturday against the nationally ranked Texas Longhorns.  

BYU football head coach Bronco Mendenhall attended the party and talked to fans along with the "Voice of the Cougars," Greg Wrubell. Many other activities took place during the evening, including locker room tours. The party lasted from 6:30-9 p.m.
