On Thursday, Sept. 12, the BYU athletic department joined the rest of the BYU campus in the Utah County United Way Day of Caring by supporting numerous service projects throughout the community. University employees were given four hours off work to support the United Way’s efforts to strengthen the local community.

This year, BYU Athletic employees participated in a variety of activities around the community including the kick-off breakfast at LaVell Edwards Stadium, work at the Community Action Food Bank of Provo and general outdoor work such as painting and yard work.

In all, BYU student-athletes and athletic department employees contributed approximately 400 of hours of work.
