Nov 13, 2015 - Posted by Kimberlie Haner at 7:51 pm | Permalink

Senior guard Kyle Collinsworth got the scoring started for BYU with a layup off of his own miss. The Cougars then went on a 20-0 run that included three treys, two of which were made by Chase Fischer, to take the early 22-2 lead over the Wolverines with 10 minutes remaining in the half.

Utah Valley fought back, going on an 11-2 run to close the gap to 32-19. Back-to-back buckets from Fischer and Kyle Davis ended the run, pushing the lead back up to 36-19 with 4:16 to play.

The Cougars closed out the half with a 5-2 run. Nick Emery nailed a 3-pointer off the bounce with less than a minute until halftime to make it 46-24 heading into the break.

Fischer led all players in points with 15, while Davis earned a double-double in the first half with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Davis had 10 rebounds in the first 10 minutes. BYU outrebounded Utah Valley 31-18 in the first 20 minutes of play.

Collinsworth named to 2015 All-American #NoLoveTeam

ESPN's Sean Farnham gave love to five guys that he believes don't get enough love by naming a 2015 #NoLoveTeam. Headlining the list is BYU guard Kyle Collinsworth. See what Farnham had to say below:

Returning from a torn ACL suffered in March 2014 in the WCC championship game, Collinsworth came back to tie an NCAA career record in just one season with six -- yes, six -- triple-doubles (tied with Drexel's Michael Anderson and a guy named Shaquille O'Neal). He shot 47 percent from the field while averaging 13.8 PPG, 8.7 RPG and 6.0 APG. This aggressive 6-foot-6 guard did an outstanding job pushing it in the open floor and attacking to score, getting fouled (average of 5.5 free throw attempts per game), or assisting any one of the open shooters that BYU had this past season. This season he gets the #NoLoveTeam All-America nod; next season, he should be on the preseason lists of the top players in the country.

Also included on the list are Duke's Grayson Allen, Boise State's Derrick Marks, Vanderbilt's Damian Jones and Gonzaga's Przemek Karnowski. Visit ESPN.com for the complete story.
