Dave Rose opened his Coach's Show on KSL 5 TV with a recap of the week, talking about the health of Utah State's Danny Berger and the rescheduling of the matchup for Feb. 19.
"One of the hardest things was just finding a time, or day, that worked for both of us. We got on the phone and found a day, and that day is the 19th of February. We both went to having a week with just one game to every week this season with two games."
A full recap of the 61-58 win over Utah was also talked about with Coach Rose offering insight of how the team adjusted at halftime and was able to make a comeback for the victory.
"The key for us was the ability to adjust to how they (Utah) were guarding Brandon (Davies) and Ty (Haws), and then finding that third scorer in Matt to get us the win."
Carlino led the Cougars against Utah with a season-high 19 points, going 5 for 10 from beyond the arc. Coach Rose commended Carlino's performance on the night and how he's improved this season. In the "X's and O's" film session, Coach Rose broke down Carlino's performance against Utah.
To finish the show, Rose talked about how the West Coast Conference is shaping up, previewed next week's matchup with Weber State and talked about the upcoming Children's with Christmas Cancer Foundation party on Wednesday evening that the team is hosting.
