Live from Legends Grille, BYU head coach Dave Rose started his weekly show giving a recap of last week's games against Pepperdine and Santa Clara.
"It was a great week for our guys - we got a great win Thursday on the road and another good one on Saturday. After our Thursday games it's always a late flight afterwards to get back home or get back to where we play next on Saturday."
Matt Carlino is averaging nearly 17 points per game in WCC action. Coach Rose highlighted his play and talked about how he's been able to be so good.
"He's been playing really week the last couple weeks, as far as running our team and being comfortable in our defensive system. He can get us some easy transition baskets and be back on defense for another steal. He put some un-due pressure on himself early in the season and he tried to force a few things. Now I think he's letting the game come to him more and he's way more confident in his ability to get baskets for us."
Later on in the show, coach Rose previewed BYU's upcoming games against San Diego and San Francisco.
"We know our guys will be ready when we tell them they need to be ready."
Assistant coach Tim LaComb joined the show mid-way through just as sophomore Nate Austin did.
Austin talked about how he thinks the season is shaping up for him and answered a few questions from fans. LaComb gave a review of Austin's play and what he brings to the team, saying Austin has improved a lot with his post moves.
To finish the show, coach LaComb also answered questions from fans.
