The BYU men’s basketball team (7-3) returns to the Marriott Center on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. MST when they host NCAA Division II opponent Eastern New Mexico. The game will be broadcast live on BYUtv and KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM and 1160 AM.
The Cougars are coming off their first true road win, a 78-68 final over Weber State, behind a career-high 33 points from Brandon Davies. Davies scored 18 points in the first half on his way to a career night.
Tyler Haws also scored in double digits for BYU, finishing with 23 points. Haws and Davies combined for 30 of BYU's 36 points in the first half.
Eastern New Mexico comes to Provo with a 5-5 record for just the second time in the series. The Greyhounds have lost their last two-straight games to Cameron University and, most recently, Cal Poly. Against the Mustangs junior Rodney Blackman led all scorers with 22 points, going 3 for 7 from the 3-point line. Blackman is a transfer this season from West Los Angeles College.
The Greyhounds finished the 2011-12 season with a 14-14 record, falling in the first round of the Lone Star Conference tournament to West Texas A&M.
