BYU head coach Dave Rose

On Eric Mika:

"Eric is feeling better. He practiced a little bit yesteday and today he was in practice full time, so unless he has a setback tonight, we anticipate a good practice tomorrow and that he'll play on Thursday. That's what we're hoping."

"I think Eric is a big part of our offensive and defensive game plan. I do think that having another body will be good. The combination of Josh and Nate was really good for us in playing those minutes with a couple wins. It should help the confidence of the team, but we need Eric. We need Eric to play well. Last couple of times on the road, he's been in foul trouble, so hopefully sitting and watching for a couple games might've helped him mentally. The most important thing is that he's healthy."

On confidence after wins:

"Hopefully this team understands the challenge of the weekend. These road games in league are really hard to win and we have to get a great effort from everyone. We can't just have a couple guys play well."

On Matt Carlino:

"I think he played pretty well. He had a great game on Saturday night and the minutes he gave on Thursday were solid. He came in and really helped our team get better. He gave us a good lift off the bench and that's a good sign. I'm happy for Matt that he's found a real comfortable spot."

Skyler Halford

On starting:

"I was just glad we won the game. That was the ultimate thing for our team is to get that win and that's what we need the most."

On upcoming road trip:

"Hopefully we can bring the same intensity and energy we did at home and we can come together collectively as a group, especially on the defensive end. I think if we can do that, we'll have a good chance on the road."

On guard matchup:

"They're talented. They have great shooters all along the board and we're hoping to just keep them off that 3-point line and prevent them from driving and penetrating, because they just kick and knock down shots."

On team's confidence:

"When you're winning, it definitely helps you feel better, but you can't feel too good about yourself. You always have to stay focused on every single game and you can't think too much in how many you've won. Sometimes you feel too good about yourself and you get lazy in some areas, so we're trying to stay on top of our game in all areas."

Matt Carlino

On coming off the bench:

"I feel good. I feel good about everything. We've won the last three games so it's been good."

On team's confidence and road trip:

"It's high right now, but coach has been trying to keep us level headed going into all these road games."

"I think we have to focus on stopping the other team and just doing what we do. We have to do what we do at home and bring it on the road. We just have to find that on the road and when we do, we'll keep doing it."

Tyler Haws

On mentality going on the road:

"I think the guys are a lot more aware of the challenge that awaits us. There are no days off or no games off in league, so we're looking forward to the challenge."

"We definitely made strides on the offensive and defensive end, so we're just excited. I think we made some good changes and guys are feeling pretty good right now."

On last year's loss against San Francisco:

"We let them come back and they're a team that doesn't stop fighting and continues to play hard for 40 minutes. We'll have to be ready to execute the game plan and not let up for 40 minutes."
