BYU (10-4) defeated Virginia Tech 97-71 at EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday and enjoyed some nice publicity afterward.
Tyler Haws scored a career-best 42 points against the Hokies — tied for eighth most in BYU history and two more that his dad's career high (Marty Haws scored 40 against Siena in 1989). He was included in Jason King's Saturday Observations on ESPN.com. King called Haws's scoring spree the performance of the day. See below for Haws's line in the official scorebook.
