USA head coach Bob McKilllop (Davidson College) on his team.

On Tyler Haws:
“I understand why he scored 20-plus points a game. He has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. His short-range game is superb.”

On Spencer Dinwiddie:
“Spencer has emerged as a valuable point guard for us. He can play three different spots and is able to get his shot. He could be the catalyst for setting the tone for our defense.”

On Yogi Ferrell:
“Yogi is quick and gets the ball up the court, which is very important to our running game. He has shot the ball very well in the first week.”

On Treveon Graham:
“Treveon is a warrior. He has a high motor and is constantly in pursuit of the ball. He runs hard and clearly is capable of playing the three-spot as well as the four-spot.”

On Luke Hancock:
“There are no questions why he was the MVP in the National Championship game. He is a dead-eye shooter, crafty with the ball and really knows how to play the game.”

On Cory Jefferson:
“Cory could be that shot-blocker for us. If he runs, rebounds and defends, he will be a very valuable member of this team.”

On Sean Kilpatrick:
“Sean is instant offense and still capable on the other end of the court of being a lock-down defender. “

On Alex Kirk:
“Alex really uses his size, and his girth and his arm extension to rebound and outlet the ball very well. He is going to get opportunities to finish inside and could really be a great advantage for us if he does that.”

On Doug McDermott:
“Doug is clearly a player of the year candidate who knows the international game and knows the American game. He puts points on the board. He is a leader and a consummate pro. “

On Adreian Payne:
“Adreian is getting better and better in the short time that we have been with him. He runs hard, wants to do the right thing and works to do the right thing. He has terrific length and an outstanding touch with the ball.”

On Will Sheehey:
“Will is a great teammate. He connects the front court with the back court. He is high-energy and runs the court very well. He is a face-up shooter, so you can’t cheat off of him.”

On Aaron White:
“Aaron is a jack of all trades. Somehow he finds ways to get tips, to get rebounds, to get put backs. He runs the court, uses his body very well and is very aggressive.”
