BYU’s 2012 football schedule has changed.

The BYU vs. Boise State game in Boise, Idaho, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, will now be played on Thursday, Sept. 20. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. The kick time for the game will be announced at a later date.

The television announcement for the game reflects the Mountain West’s new agreement with CBS Sports Network intended to increase national exposure for MW programs. In the release of its football national television schedule on Thursday, the league announced that CBS Sports Network, the Conference's rights holder, will sub-license some games to NBC Sports Network and ESPN.

The Cougars will play the Broncos in one of four Mountain West home games featured on either ESPN or ESPN2 in 2012.
