Second Quarter Summary
The Cougars launched the second quarter with a bang, scoring another touchdown on the first play of the quarter. After a touchdown by Taysom Hill, the BYU defense forced a Hawai’i fumble. The defense only allowed one Hawai’i first down in the quarter, holding the Warriors to 51 yards in the quarter while the BYU offense took 82 yards.
Player Standouts
Ross Apo had his first touchdown of the season in the first minute of the quarter on a 22-yard pass from Hill. Hill continued to shine with a touchdown of his own on a 68-yard run. Jamaal Williams had 54 yards in the second quarter.
Highlights
After a touchdown pass to Apo to open the quarter, Hill brought the crowd to its feet with a 68-yard quarterback carry, the longest rush of the year for BYU to put the score at 20-0.
