Summary
BYU jumped on the board first. On 4th and 1, Jamaal Williams broke free for a 49-yard run, setting up a Riley Nelson 6–yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Cody Hoffman. Jamaal Williams went on to score two touchdowns to put BYU up 21-0. After an Idaho touchdown pass, Spencer Hadley recovered a fumble into the endzone to put BYU up 28-7.

Quarter Highlights
Jamaal Williams scored two touchdowns and ran for 77 yards, including a 49-yard run on 4th and 1 to set up BYU’s first score of the quarter. Down 21-0, Idaho quarterback Logan Bushnell hit wide receiver Mike Scott down the middle late in the first quarter for a 33-yard touchdown reception. With four seconds remaining Spencer Hadley recovered a fumble at the two-yard line, running into the endzone for a touchdown.
